Whole House Fan and HVAC are an Absolutely Perfect Marriage

Many believe that a whole house fan was created to replace a typical air conditioner instead of being used an assist to normal a/c. That is not necessarily the case but, in many ways, that is not far from the truth. A whole house fan can replace a lot of what an air conditioner does.

A whole house fan’s main purpose is to cool a home in the most efficient way possible. It achieves this by siphoning fresher and, hopefully, cooler air through the home and pushing out the stuffier, hotter air. It accomplishes this with its massive fan and through thermal cooling.

A whole house fan, unlike an air conditioner, moves air through furniture, carpeting, and more. This makes it much harder for a home to be reheated. This is also something that an air conditioner does not do. This is why many believe that whole house fan companies are attempting to run HVAC out of business.

In actuality, HVAC and Quiet Cool are a perfect combination. Whole house fans work fantastically by themselves but with an air conditioner, they are, quite frankly, the perfect way to cool a home. This is because some days simply do not always cool down at night to the desired temperature. When these nights happen, it is best to run a whole house fan for a few hours whenever desired and then run the air conditioner for twenty to thirty minutes.

Doing this will allow the home to get cold quickly and will only need a homeowner to run their air conditioner for a very limited amount of time. This is exactly why the marriage between whole house fan and air conditioner is a match made in cooling system heaven. A whole house fan works in nearly every circumstance but in the limited cases where it does not get just cool enough in a home, an air conditioner can be used sparingly.

This is perfect for not only the homeowner but for HVAC because the less an air conditioner is used, the less likely it is to break down. So, not only is the homeowner saving hundreds a month on air conditioning but they are less likely to see their a/c break down. This could possibly save a couple more hundred dollars on possible repairs or replation.

A whole house fan is a beautifully designed cooling system, they work amazingly on their own but they work perfectly when paired with an air conditioner.
