Selecting The Correct RM For Your Home

The Roof Mount Whole House Fan line features four different models that can be used depending on your home type and application.

The RM WHF-4.0-DB is designed for homes with a sealed or conditioned attic, and a minimum of 36" of clearance.

The RM WHF-4.0-DG1 and DG2 models are designed for homes that have small, 6” or greater, rafter bays between the ceiling of the home and the roof. These fans use the rafter bay as an air passage between the fan unit and the damper grille. The DG1 model is designed for homes that are built 24" on center and the DG2 is for homes that are less than 24" on center.

The RM WHF-4.0-PL is designed for homes with flat roofs and no rafter bays between the ceiling of the home and the roof. In this application, the included plenum box is installed on the roof, acting as the air passage for the fan.
